Chinese social networking site Renren.com has published its five annual strategic products, covering information, entertainment, and location services, and what it plans for 2011.

The five new products aim to help users share Internet information and find contents they want, to deliver better contents and gather more users.

At the same time, Chen Yizhou, chairman and chief executive officer of Oak Pacific Interactive, the owner of Renren.com, told local media that Renren.com will not enter the microblog sector. Rival Sina.com has already entered the sector. American firm Twitter.com has been blocked inChina for many months already.

Chen said that though the microblog market is booming in China, Renren.com has not considered launching this type product. He explained that the greatest innovation for microblogs is adding a follower function to blog. For websites that have been doing well in the blog sector, they have advantages in the launch of microblogs. However, Renren.com does not have those advantages.

Prior to this, Renren.com’s competitor Kaixin001.com launched its microblog service, which will start public beta tests soon.
