Chinese mobile analytics firm App Annie has closed a USD15 round of investment.

Led by Sequoia Capital, the financing included previous investors IDG Capital Partners, Greycroft Partners, e.ventures and Infinity Venture Partners.

While based in Beijing, App Annie is not a China-focused business. Instead, it aggregates freely available mobile app data for Android and Apple iOS app stores and delivers it to global app creators in an easily digestible format. The company complements the free app data it acquires with its own guesses at mobile app rankings and marketing data.

App Annie has offices in San Francisco and Beijing, and the funds will reportedly be used to expand the company's presence throughout Asia.
