China’s NetEase.com Starts Revision Of Online News Channels

Chinese Internet company NetEase.com has announced that it will start a new round of revision of its news and information channels to follow its newly raised content concept of “a portal with an attitude”.

The revision will cover channels such as news, finance, entertainment, sports, and technology. Apart from adding new columns to these channels, there will be the logo of “with an attitude” marked in the prominent position in these channels.

According to the latest global traffic report published by Google’s DoubleClick, NetEase.com’s traffic ranked 15th among all Internet websites around the world and it was in a leading place among Chinese portal websites.

NetEase.com’s financial statistics for the second quarter of 2010 show that its advertising revenue reached CNY146 million, a year-on-year increase of 101.9% and an increase of 60.46% compared with the previous quarter. The revenue of advertising business accounted for 10.84% of the company’s total revenue.
