Suning Unveils After-sales Nanjing Technical Training Center

Chinese home appliances and electronics retailer Suning has announced that after six months of preparation and construction, its after-sales technical training center has been formally put into operation, making it the first after-sales technical training platform in the Chinese home appliances retail industry.

A representative from Suning said that after-sales training is an important task for the company’s services and it is responsible for the training of nearly 30,000 after-sales staff in Suning. Since the launch of the project, the skills of Suning’s installation and maintenance workers have reportedly been significantly improved. To better enhance the skills of these workers and improve its after-sales services, Suning started the construction of the after-sales technical training center from March 2011. The new training center is expected to continuously and effectively improve the quality of the after-sales services of the retailer.

Located in Suning’s Yuhua logistics base in Nanjing, the after-sales technical training center covers an area of nearly 5,000 square meters. The training center is divided into indoor and outdoor sections. The indoor part has an area of 3,000 square meters, including an air-conditioner installation training room, an air-conditioner maintenance training room, an electrician training room, a comprehensive training room, a water heater installation and maintenance training room, and a sand table classroom. The outdoor part covers an area of 2,000 square meters, including a perforation area, a simulation area for the installation of the outdoor parts of air-conditioners, a welding area, and other simulation areas.

According to its plan, Suning will complete the construction of 65 regional training centers around China by 2015. By combining theory and practice, these training centers will provide comprehensive training support to Suning.
