EMC Appoints New President For China

EMC Corporation announced the appointment of Cai Hanhui as its new global vice president and president for China, reporting to Denis Yip, EMC’s global senior vice president and president for Greater China.

Assuming his new role, Cai will be located in the Beijing office, and will be responsible for EMC’s market growth in mainland China as well as helping clients accelerate their development of cloud computing.

EMC said that creating this new position in the Greater China executive team aims to focus on the cooperation with Chinese local companies. The new move will help the company formulate and implement new measures targeting the public utilities, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and low- and medium-end market segments. It will also enhance the company’s project cooperation with the central and local governments in China.

Prior to his joining in EMC, Cai was Oracle’s global senior vice president and general manager for Fusion Middleware business in Asia Pacific since May 2011.
