Former Oracle Global VP Joins 360buy.com

Chinese B2C e-commerce website 360buy.com has announced that Wang Yaqing, former global vice president for Oracle, has joined the company to become its first chief technology officer.

Wang studied in Shanghai Tongji University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, and he gained his masters from University of Connecticut in 1995. Prior to joining 360buy.com, Wang worked for Oracle for 13 years and held various positions, including global vice president. He was mainly in charge of the research of databases, middleware, and cloud computing at that time.

According to 360buy.com, in his new role, Wang will promote the merger between information technologies and the existing industrial departments of the company. By combining current technologies and platforms, he will help 360buy.com establish a unified technical direction and data structure, so as to improve the stability of the overall structure of the company.
