Travel agents around the world using Sabre’s system to book online tickets for some Chinese airlines now can breathe a sigh of relief.
China Eastern Airlines and its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines have reached a new full content agreement awarding Sabre Travel Network with preferred provider status. The airlines’ fares and inventory will be made available to all Sabre travel agents worldwide through the Sabre Global Distribution System.
As part of the digital deal, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines have guaranteed their full range of fares and products to Sabre-connected travel agencies and corporations globally, including published fares the airlines sell through their own websites, third-party websites, and their own reservation offices.
This full content agreement continues a broad relationship between China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and Sabre Holdings.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the parties.
