TravelSky, Sugon Team For Big Data Aimed At China’s Travel Sector

China’s TravelSky Technology Limited and Sugon Information Industry Company Limited have signed a strategic agreement covering cooperation in joint research and big data analysis.

According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in sectors like joint lab construction, marketing, solutions integration, cloud services, and big data applications. Meanwhile, they will gradually realize the localization of the computing service systems of TravelSky. No other details about the cooperation was revealed.

Li Jun, president of Sugon, said that it has become an important focus for Sugon to rapidly commercialize its latest self-developed computing technologies and further improve the overall information level of China. The cooperation with TravelSky marks an important step of the commercialization of Chinese-developed high-tech R&D products.

TravelSky is a large state-owned enterprise that provides passenger reservation and departure information system for all airlines and major airports in China. Its services cover over 300 Chinese cities, over 100 international cities, 30 airlines, 174 airports, and over 10,000 air ticket sales agencies in China. It processes passenger reservation and departure information of over one million travelers each day.
