Chinese search engine company Baidu announced in Tianjin that the company's developer start-up center in the city has been formally established.
This is Baidu's newest regional start-up center following those already operational in Chengdu and Xiamen.
This new Tianjin Baidu developer start-up center is located in Hongqiao district. With an office area of over 3,000 square meters, it can accommodate more than 20 start-up teams. At the same time, the team recruitment will focus on O2O and hardware development sectors. The Tianjin developer start-up center can provide various resources and services, covering free office area, Baidu cloud platform resources, technical instruction, business audits, finance services, and legal services. In addition, developers will gain technical support from Baidu's Beijing headquarters, which will offer one-on-one guidance to the start-up teams.
Li Mingyuan, vice president of Baidu, said that Baidu will provide multi-level services and support to teams located in the developer start-up center. Meanwhile, this new center is expected to accelerate local enterprises' transformation from traditional companies to mobile Internet service companies.
The company plans to build similar facilities in cities like Beijing and Shanghai in the future.
