Japanese Artist Creates Tiny Hats Made Out Of His Cats’ Shed Fur, And The Results Go Viral On Instagram

If you thought cats couldn’t be cuter, then you haven’t seen one wearing a hat, especially a hat made from their fur!

Ryo Yamazaki is a Japanese photographer who is also interested in a variety of crafts. Ryo and his wife, Hiromi, own several cats, and they came up with a unique way to deal with all the fur that their cats shed.

Their project started when they saw a ball of fur on the floor where their cats usually hang out. Seemingly, the fur resembled a hat, so they gave it more structure and put the fur hat on one of their cats.

After that, they started making more fur hat masterpieces, and they started to go viral on Instagram.

Today, their designs aren’t limited to hats. The Yamazakis create and photograph wigs, animal ears, crowns, helmets, and headpieces, which are referred to as “nukege hats.” With the myriad of nukege hat designs that the couple created, they were able to make a photobook.

Currently, Hiromi designs the hats, and Ryo photographs the cats wearing them. Then, the Yamazakis post their designs on their Instagram, which is filled with photos of their adorable cats wearing their cute creations. Check out some of their best designs below.
