The Vikram Lander ofChandrayaan-2attempted soft-landing on the lunar south pole but things didn’t go as planned.

After descending normally up to an altitude of 2.1km,Vikram stopped sending signalsto the station on Earth, leaving millions of Indians dejected.

Jio Fiber launched in India, plans revealed

The next big news of the week was thelaunch of Jio Fiber- the fiber-to-the-home broadband service from Jio.

The service, targeted at 1,600 towns in India, comes at a starting monthly price of Rs. 6,99 and goes up to Rs. 8,499/month.

All plans would come with a FUP limit and the speed would be between 100Mbps and 1Gpbs, depending on the plan.

Android 10 started rolling out

On September 3, Google’sAndroid 10 started rolling outto Pixel family and Redmi K20 Pro models around the world.

However, soon after the update, reports surfaced that the update is creating issues on Pixels bybreaking most of their sensorsand the features tied to them.

The issue even affected the working of fingerprint scanners on the phones.

A database ofmillions of Facebook-linked mobile numberswas exposed on an open server.

Facebookclaimed that the entries in the database, which has now been removed, were scraped before it completely restricted mobile access on the platform.

In another teaser, Chinese giant OnePlus confirmed that OnePlus TV would come witheight speakers and support for Dolby Atmos , which would power your home with 50W of sound output.

It’s expected to launch in India with a 55-inch 4k OLED panel on September 26.

Also, Xiaomi has started rolling outAndroid 9 Pie-based TV 9 update for Mi TV 4A and 4C Pro.
