India Vs Bangladesh: Twitter Turns Rohit Sharma's Catch Into Hilarious Memes

ASSOCIATED PRESSCaptain Virat Kohli congratulates Rohit Sharma for taking a catch to dismiss Bangladesh’s Mominul Haque.

Bangladesh was reduced to 73 for 6 at lunch on the opening day of the Day/Night Test at Eden Gardens and Rohit Sharma’s stunning catch left Twitter obsessed.

He dismissed Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque in the 11th over. The ball was going towards captain Virat Kohli when Sharma jumped in and took a one-hand catch.

Twitter was quick to turn Sharma’s catch into hilarious memes:

Some even took a dig at the captaincy of the Indian men’s team. Yuvraj Singh had suggested split captaincy to ease Kohli’s workload. In September, Singh had said Sharma can be considered for T20 captaincy if Kohli feels “overloaded” by leading the side in all three formats.

Sharma did lead India in the Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh this month which India won 2-1.

Some could not help but remember the 2019 World Cup which England won on account of superior boundary count after the final and the Super Over ended in a tie.
