KOTTAYAM: A letter from the Kerala Youth Front (M) youth wing’s leader to China, seeking expenses related to prevention and cure of coronavirus went viral on social media in the state.
Sajan Thoduka, state president of Kerala Youth Front (M), came up with the demand that China should bear all the expenses related to the prevention and treatment of coronavirus in Kerala. He also said that he will write to the Central government seeking an investigation against China and reimbursement from the country for the loss incurred by the state due to coronavirus.
The press note by Thoduka demanding this became viral on social media. Some mocked him for the letter with comments like, “China sweats in fear, the letter that frightened China,” while others lauded the initiative.
Thoduka said that the tourism sector and international travel have been affected due to the spread of the virus which he says is solely due to a serious lapse by China. He also urged the WHO and UN to carry out an investigation to probe spread of the virus.
