Unimpressed with the comments of the fans, India’s limited-overs vice-captain iterated that they are Indians and will speak in Hindi itself. “They are saying speak in English, no we are Indians we will be speaking in Hindi only,” Rohit said. Bumrah instantly agreed with Rohit and said this is not right as they are in their own space and should have the freedom to speak in any language they wish to. He also said it would have been the same had they been speaking in English, fans would have wanted them to switch to Hindi.
Amid the lockdown, most of the sporting events are being canceled or postponed and the upcoming cash-rich Indian Premier League could also be called off due to the pandemic.
