IndiGo, Vistara, GoAir, Air Asia and SpiceJet raise spirit over social media

Although the airline industry is hit pretty bad due to the coronavirus outbreak, it does not mean they cannot engage in some friendly banter. While India has gone under lockdown, flights remain grounded as services, both international and domestic, have been suspended.

But instead of focusing on revenue loss, these airlines emphasised on staying safe. IndiGo kicked off a conversation on Twitter by asking Vistara, “Hey @airvistara, not #flyinghigher these days we heard? #StayingParkedStayingSafe #LetsIndiGo.”

Vistara was quick to respond by tweeting, “No @IndiGo6E, these days being on-ground is a wonderful thing. Flying would not be the ‘smart’ choice, what say @goairlinesindia? #StayingParkedStayingSafe.” Soon enough, GoAir, AirAsia India and SpiceJet joined in the fun conversation, as they hoped to take to the skies soon.

The interaction went viral on social media as the Twitterati hoped for the ordeal to end soon, and indulge in their tales of wanderlust. Netizens pointed out how their spirit was intact while the travel industry is seeing a major hit.
