India Today Group has lodged a formal complaint with Twitter India and has decided to take legal action against Entrepreneur Anurag Srivastava for his tweet claiming that Rhea Chakraborty allegedly gave Rs 8 crores to Rajdeep Sardesai and India Today for her interview.
In a statement India Today Group said, “ False and malicious statements were made by Anurag Srivastava on Twitter on 06.09.2020. The unequivocally false allegations regarding the group charging money for an interview, have been made without any basis and only with the intent to defame the India Today Group and its anchor. The group has lodged a formal complaint with Twitter and will initiate legal action against Anurag Srivastava.”
