Delhi: College student held for harassing women with obscene messages on Facebook – India

Delhi Police has arrested a college student for harassing women with obscene messages on Facebook.

One Soniya (name changed), a resident of Mehrauli, had lodged a complaint, saying she received many obscene and abusive messages from the accused on Facebook.

The complainant is a housewife.

The accused had created a fake Facebook account by the name of Karan, police said. He has confessed his crime.

During investigation, it was revealed that the accused is a BA 1st year student, Distance Education, of the Delhi University. He used to work at his father’s meat shop near Auliya Masjid.

Earlier, the accused used to stalk one Tanya (name changed), another resident of Mehrauli, through the same fake Facebook profile.
