Hackers sell data of 71 million Vietnamese Facebook accounts online

Recently, on a forum for hackers appeared a topic selling data of 71 million Vietnamese Facebook accounts. According to the seller’s recommendation, the data consists of 71 million rows of important information about the user. This data is very new, does not coincide with the previous Facebook leaks.

In this time the information revealed of an account includes: Facebook ID, email, username, phone number, name, gender, date of birth, hometown, city, postal code … A Facebook user’s entire basic information was leaked.

Since its launch, Facebook has gone through a lot of scandals related to leaking user data. The number of Facebook hacks and data leaks has increased dramatically in recent years. Facebook has almost no effective way to prevent this problem.

To ensure safety from this leak, users should change their Facebook password as well as other accounts now. Use new, never-used passwords and do not include exposed information such as phone numbers, birthdays … In addition, you should use two-factor authentication methods such as text messages. SMS or use the Authenticator authentication app.
