The American social networking company Twitter has introduced voice messaging to send messages directly, a new feature for users in India, Brazil and Japan.
According to The Verge, this new feature allows users to send voice DM (direct message) or voice clips to Twitter contacts.
According to the Twitter report, this feature will be launched in an organized manner, so it is conceivable that some users will not see the feature immediately. Weibo users can send voice messages up to 140 seconds in private conversations. So far, the component has been tested in India, Brazil and Japan, and it can be used by iOS and Android users.
The Verge reports that to take advantage of this new feature, users only need to open the chat box of the relevant contact, click the voice icon in the lower right corner and start recording. After the user has recorded the voice message, he should click the stop icon to end the operation.
Users can also choose to listen to the audio before sending and deleting the audio. After approval, the last step is to click the send icon to send.
Manish Maheshwari, the managing director of Twitter India, said after announcing the feature: “India is a priority market for Twitter, which is why we are constantly testing new features and learning from people’s experience in this service.”
Alex Ackerman-Greenberg, Twitter’s direct messaging product manager, added: “We want to let people record and send voice messages because DMs can enhance their conversation experience by adding convenience and ways of expression.”
