Known for smashing records across all formats of the gentlemen’s game, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has added another feather into his illustrious cap by achieving a massive milestone on social media. Dubbed as one of the greatest batsmen to play the game in the modern era, Kohli has become the first Indian celebrity to reach the 100 million followers mark on Instagram.

Yes, King Kohli has managed to beat the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone to become the first Indian celeb to gain as many as 100 million followers on the Facebook-owned platform. There is no denying that the charismatic leader of Team India enjoys a massive fan following across all social media platforms.

When it comes to fan following, the Indian skipper is ahead of Bollywood actress Priyanka, who has over 60 million followers on the Facebook-owned platform. While actress Deepika has 53.3 million followers, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is followed by 51.2 million users of the photo and video sharing platform as of March 1, 2021. 

Recently, Kohli had upstaged Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Ranveer to retain the top spot in India’s most-valuable celeb list. According to the Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2020 by Duff & Phelps, the Indian skipper was reportedly crowned as India’s most valuable celebrity with a brand value of USD 237.7 million.
