WhatsApp starts rolling out support to import third-party sticker packs in India: Report – Times of India

Instant messaging app has started rolling out the support to use third-party stickers on its platform, claims a report by WABetaInfo — the website that tracks the upcoming changes and features on the platform.
As per WABetaInfo, the company has started enabling the possibility to import custom animated sticker packs in WhatsApp.
As of now, the feature is being rolled out to users in India and Brazil and it is soon expected to be rolled out to other countries. Android users with WhatsApp version 2.21.3.19 and newer and iOS users with WhatsApp version 2.21.31.2 and newer will have access to this feature, suggests WABetaInfo.
As per the report, WhatsApp users will be able to import a sticker pack using external apps such as Sticker Maker.
The report details that the Sticker Maker app “will remotely enable the support to create animated stickers,” after which WhatsApp users will be able to import them to WhatsApp.
In order to import a custom sticker pack to WhatsApp, it should only have static or animated stickers, must contain at least 3 stickers and be of a certain maximum size.
