Song Ji-ah, a YouTuber who rose to fame following her appearance on Netflix’s Korean reality show Single’s Inferno, has announced a halt to her online activities, after controversy arose over her wearing counterfeit luxury brand items on the show and on social media.
On January 25, she posted a video on her YouTube channel, FreeZia, apologising for the stir she has caused.
“I admit all the rumours about the fake goods, and everything is my fault. … I apologise for damaging the value of the brands and disappointing many people who supported me,” she said in the clip.
Song has apologised for wearing fake brands on Netflix dating reality show Single’s Inferno and on YouTube.
Song said that after she began to buy counterfeit products, people liked her look so she continued to feature them to get more reactions.
