New Delhi: Meta-possessed photo-sharing platform Instagram is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to comment on stories with an image or a voice message.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer who reverse-engineers apps to find new features, took to Twitter to share a screenshot of Instagram Stories with a microphone icon in the story reply field. “Instagram is working on the ability to reply to stories with voice messages,” Paluzzi said in the tweet.
Instagram introduced two new ways – Favorites and Follows – to choose what users see in their feed. The company said it wants users to be able to give Instagram the best experience possible and give them ways to quickly see what they’re most interested in.
Favorites show users the latest news from accounts they choose, such as their closest friends and favorite creators. In addition to this view, posts from accounts in Favorites also appear higher in the home feed. Following shows users posts from the people they follow.
Both Favorites and Follows display user posts in chronological order to quickly catch up on recent posts. To use Favorites and Follows, users on Instagram need to tap in the top left corner of the homepage to choose what they see.
