After Elon Must turned down a seat on Twitter’s board of directors, he offered to buy the social media platform for $54.20 a share on Thursday. The Whistleblowers’ Movement has been victimized by Twitter for years because of Twitter’s collusion with the Chinese Communist Party.
The Tesla CEO, who has a 9.2% stake in Twitter, started a poll on Twitter on the same day on privatizing Twitter which received overwhelming support. He launched a hostile takeover after he tweeted that the platform is essential to the functioning of democracy.
In June of 2020, Twitter for the first time admitted that there were nearly 200,000 fake accounts used by China to influence politics.
The Whistleblowers’ Movement led by Miles Guo got the first-hand experience of being de-platformed by Twitter. Twitter was one of the first social media platforms utilized by Miles Guo and many of his early followers five years ago. But Mr. Guo’s Twitter account was disabled when he gained an astonishingly large number of followers in a very short amount of time. Mr. Guo then started Guo Media before launching GNews, GTV, and GETTR.
As an A.I. expert and a former Google VP, Fei-Fei Li was added to Twitter’s board in May 2020. Ms. Li is a Chinese spy according to Miles Guo. After she joined Twitter, more and more followers of the Whistleblowers’ Movement were put into “Twitter jail” simply for expressing their anti-Chinese Communist views.
On the one hand, many mainland Chinese were arrested after Twitter handed over their personal information to the Chinese government. On the other hand, the Chinese regime has been recruiting trolls to sway public opinions on Twitter. For example, the Chinese “Fifty Cent Army” discredited Hong Kong Protestors in 2019. Now the Chinese government is waging information warfare to help Russia amidst the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
Twitter’s collusion with the Chinese Communist Party should be investigated and treated as a threat to national security because the Chinese Communist Party is weaponizing Twitter to hurt America’s national interest in unrestricted warfare.
Musk declared that Twitter “needs to be transformed as a private company” to unlock its full potential. The prospect of replacing Twitter’s decision-makers is a piece of good news for those who value freedom of speech. The current Twitter is dying as Elon put in this tweet.
There will be fierce resistance to Elon Musk’s takeover bid because the stakes are too high. Besides, the Chinese Communist Party is at war with the US and it won’t give up Twitter easily.
