Place your bets! ‘Drag Den Philippines’ introduces its competing queens

MANILA, Philippines – Brace yourselves, drag fans, because Drag Den Philippines has introduced the queens who will be competing in its first-ever season. 

The show released on Thursday, November 17, a full trailer for its cast reveal. 

“Eight Filipino drag queens fight for the crown to be the first Filipino drag supreme,” they said. 

The participating queens include: 

  • Maria Cristina 
  • Aries Night 
  • Pura Luka Vega
  • and Lady Gagita

Other details about the drag queens have yet to be disclosed. 

Dubbed as a “drag pageant for Filipinos by Filipinos,” Drag Den Philippines will be hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon. 

Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves and social media personality Sassa Gurl will be joining Manila Luzon in the competition series. 

The show, which was first announced in July 2021, is produced by Cornerstone and Project 8 with Antoinette Jadaone and Rod Singh as creative directors and producers. 

Drag Den Philippines will premiere on December 8 via Prime Video Philippines. – Rappler.com
