A few days after relaunching a new YouTube channel, the news arm Sonshine Media Network Inc. (SMNI) has once again been taken down from the video sharing website.
“This account has been terminated for violating Google’s Terms of Service,” reads the channel upon clicking.
Twitter user @DuterteWatchdog pointed this out on Monday night.
“Strike! YouTube has apparently just deleted the new account of SMNI News and now gives him the monkey of death. Was not a smart move to set it up anyway,” the user’s tweet read.
On Friday, the original SMNI News Channel YouTube channel, its program Laban Kasama ang Bayan and the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), all of which are owned by controversial evangelist Apollo Quiboloy, were taken down by YouTube for violations of its terms of service. Later that same day, a new channel of SMNI News was re-launched on YouTube. The channels of Quiboloy himself were taken down on YouTube and TikTok.
“Google is committed to compliance with applicable US sanctions laws and enforces related policies under its Terms of Service. After review and consistent with these policies, we terminated the Laban Kasama ang Bayan, KOJC & SMNI YouTube channels,” Google, YouTube’s parent company, said in a statement at the time.
As of Tuesday, SMNI News can still be accessed via Facebook and video sharing site Rumble, which is known to be used by former US president Donald Trump and his supporters.
