A Progressive Conservative push for MPPs to censure New Democrat Sarah Jama over a controversial statement on the Hamas-Israeli conflict has grown more heated after she moved it to the top of her social media feed.
“It can’t be anything but a clear show of defiance,” government house leader Paul Calandra told reporters as debate began Wednesday on a motion to bar Jama (Hamilton Centre) from questioning Premier Doug Ford and his ministers unless she retracts the statement and apologizes in the legislature.
