LinkedIn hands global media duties to Publicis Media

LinkedIn has reportedly handed its global media business to Publicis Media, according to Adweek. The decision reportedly followed a closed review of LinkedIn’s media account. Dentsu previously led the social media platform’s media strategy in major markets, including the United States.

As the chosen network, Publicis Media will reportedly be tasked to handle LinkedIn’s global media planning and buying efforts.

Specific details of the appointment remain sparse.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Publicis Media and Dentsu for more information.

The appointment comes a week after LinkedIn picked R/GA as its global strategic creative agency for LinkedIn Ads.

Meanwhile, LinkedIn joins Publicis Media’s ever-expanding portfolio of clients. In 2024, the network led in net new business rankings, according to COMvergence’s latest Global New Business Barometer report.

Publicis Media posted US$5.8 million in incremental billings, with key wins such as Hershey in the United States, Yum Brands and Nestlé in China, as well as global accounts such as Spotify and The LEGO Group

In addition, the network topped global media new business wins in 2024, alongside Omnicom Media Group. The report revealed that US$39 billion in media spending was reviewed globally in the year, with Publicis Media and OMG collectively accounted for nearly one-third of the total.
