The New York native certainly made a significant step forward on that path during this evening’s episode as the glamorous drag queen blew the four judges away with her exceptional vocal ability during a rendition of Nessun Dorma.

Opening up about the lack of acceptance she’s faced in the music industry, Jasmine told the crowd after her performance: “I was getting a lot of rejection because of how I presented myself?

“Especially in the opera world. Being feminine and fierce was not really taken with embrace.”

Calling her “special”, judge Simon Cowell reassured her: “I have to tell you the opera world can be really snobby. You have found your home (here).”

Fellow-judge Bruno Toniali was left wiping away tears after her breathtaking showing and, judging by the posts on X, formerly Twitter, he wasn’t the only one.

@Clarejs85 wrote: “Jasmine actually giving me goosebumps!”, while @GinaLouLoves commented: “Wow this opera singer is phenomenal.”

@brizzlesean posted: “Say what you like about the appearance, that’s a hell of a voice,” while @RhysThomson5 said: “Bet that’s the winner of BGT.”
