A CCTV video showing a robot attempting to attack a worker has been circulating on social media platforms, including Instagram and X, causing significant concern among viewers.

The footage captures the robot hanging from a crane while two employees work nearby. Suddenly, the robot becomes active, moving its arms and legs in what appears to be an aggressive manner. The workers initially look startled and fearful, as the robot seems intent on pursuing one of them. Fortunately, the worker manages to evade the robot, and the employees eventually deactivate it by switching off its power near the hanger.

The video has drawn comparisons to scenes from science fiction films, with many viewers likening it to the “Terminator” series, where a war between robots and humans is depicted. Belarus TV outlet Nexta commented on the clip, stating, “Something like this will be seen when there will be a rebellion of machines.”

The incident has raised alarms about the potential risks associated with robotics and AI technology. A surgeon expressed concerns over the safety of robotic surgery, while another individual mentioned their preference for ChatGPT over robots due to this incident.
