Perth Wildcats have confirmed star big man Keanu Pinder has departed the club after two seasons.
Pinder has signed a one-year deal with the Akita Northern Happinets in Japan.
It comes after triple NBL champion and five-time league MVP Bryce Cotton left the Wildcats and signed with Adelaide 36ers in a bombshell move that rocked the basketball world.
The Wildcats thanked Pinder for his contribution to the club on social media on Thursday, adding “we wish you all the best for the next chapter of your basketball career”.
Pinder averaged 16 points and almost seven rebounds per game last season, including pouring in 35 points in a match-winning performance in Perth’s cut-throat play-in game against South East Melbourne.
The departure of Cotton and Pinder is set to spark a list overhaul for the franchise ahead of the 2025-26 season.
