WATCH: Govt studies proposal to regulate ‘influencers’ against promoting online gambling

Malacañang on July 8, 2025 says the government is studying proposals to regulate social media influencers from promoting online gambling. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro reiterated that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sympathized with families who were victimized by this kind of gambling. ‘So, all of that will be carefully examined in order to provide proper direction and judgment on the matter,’ Castro said during a press conference.
