Cooking shows are no stranger to drama. From kitchen meltdowns and last-minute disasters to the suspenseful silence of judges before giving a verdict, there’s always something sizzling beyond the stove. But, trust us when we say that this old episode from a Chinese cooking competition is something that you have never seen before.
Recently, a digital creator posted a video on Instagram, sharing the story of a MasterChef contestant who served… wait for it… pig intestine contaminated with poop, to the judges — a response to the constant body-shaming he endured from the panel.
Bullied MasterChef Contestant Serves Pig Intestines To Judges
The video introduces viewers to Xiapong, an amateur culinary enthusiast, who participated in the cooking show with hopes of winning. However, the judges used to mock him repeatedly for being “chubby, careless and not serious.” Instead of taking the harsh remarks to his heart and getting sad, Xiapong “plotted revenge,” unaware that it was going to be the “most legendary revenge of this century” in China. He decided to serve the judges “underwashed pig intestines” to teach them a lesson.
As per the video, Xiapong purposefully skipped cleaning the “insides properly”. To top it off, he used the very water in which the intestines were boiled as the base for his sauce. After taking a bite, one of the judges asked Xiapong whether it was a mistake. But Xiapong stood there stone-faced. The particular judge reacted with visible disgust — wincing and grimacing at the raw flavour. He fumed in anger, which again turned into a “remarkable meme in China”.
Xiapong’s elimination was confirmed, but before that, every judge had to taste the dish as per the show’s rules. And that, turns out, was the true brilliance of Xiapong’s plan.
Social Media Users React
The internet had lots to say about the video. “That is basically eating poop,” pointed out a user. Another called Xiapong their “role model.” “Bro found the loophole somehow,” joked one person. “He had a lot of guts,” noted an individual. “‘Revenge is a dish best served cold’ almost literally. What a legend!” read an apt remark.
