A hilarious yet bizarre robbery attempt in Thailand has left the internet in stitches. In a CCTV video going viral, a thief attempted to rob a woman but failed. But what’s the most surprising part? Even after failing to snatch the necklace, he walked away with a cash reward. Yes, we aren’t kidding.
The video, which has racked up thousands of reactions on social media, shows a man wearing a face mask and motorcycle helmet approaching a woman from behind and attempting to snatch her gold necklace. While he manages to break the necklace, the woman’s quick reflexes stop him from getting away with it.
Why did the woman hand him cash?
What happened next baffled viewers even more. Instead of fleeing, the thief immediately folded his hands in apology and asked the woman for money. The woman, still digesting what had just happened, stood in shock. Shocked by the turn of events, the scared woman ends up handing the man 100 baht (approximately Rs 270) in cash.
