SINGAPORE – Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s 2025 National Day Rally speech will begin at 6.45pm on Aug 17.

He will speak first in Malay, followed by Mandarin. He will then deliver his speech in English at 8pm.

PM Wong will deliver his speech at ITE College Central in Ang Mo Kio. It will also be broadcast on local TV channels and radio stations, and streamed live on

channels.

At his

first National Day Rally in 2024

, PM Wong spoke first in Malay, then in Mandarin and English.

During his maiden rally, he announced a slew of initiatives such as

expanded parental leave

, a SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme to

provide temporary financial support

to those who have lost their jobs, and

housing enhancements

for couples, singles and seniors.

He also unveiled the

Kallang Alive Masterplan

, as well as a

remake of Singapore’s southern coast

, with a continuous 120km-long waterfront stretching from Pasir Panjang Terminal to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
