Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang has used the new iPhone 17 Pro to shoot the music video (MV) for his latest song Let Loose.
The 31-year-old posted a trailer of the MV on social media on Sept 10.
“Commissioned by Apple. September 13th. Let Loose MV. U have no idea,” he wrote in English, using the hashtags #ShotoniPhone, #iPhone17Pro and #LetLoose.
The trailer shows Wang dressed in white and performing a street dance routine against a dimly lit backdrop.
According to Taiwan’s Mirror Daily, the MV not only marks the global debut of Apple’s new imaging technology, but it also showcases Wang’s creativity as he directed, planned and performed in the project.
Apple chief executive Tim Cook posted Wang’s MV on Chinese social media platform Weibo on Sept 10.
“Loving Jackson Wang’s new music video for Let Loose, shot with iPhone 17 Pro,” he wrote in English and Chinese. “The dynamic camera work really brings his creativity to life.”
Wang was earlier seen in the Weibo version of Apple’s latest product launch video, making a brief surprise cameo at the end of the clip.
In 2024, Canadian singer The Weeknd shot the music video for his song Dancing In The Flames on the iPhone 16 Pro.
