‘Kantara Chapter 1’ Tamil Nadu box office face challenges

Earlier, in the wake of the stampede that took place in Karur, which left 41 people dead, the film crew cancelled the Chennai pre-release event. Fans and the media expressed their overwhelming support for the makers on this decision. Despite strong promotions across the South, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ looks weak in Tamil Nadu, and the box office clash with Dhanush’s ‘Idli Kadai’ further weakens the sequel in the state.
