SINGAPORE – Anyone planning to visit Upper Paya Lebar Road on the afternoon of Nov 2 is advised to avoid the area due to the risk of flash floods, said national water agency PUB.
In a post on social media platform X, PUB said it is best to avoid Upper Paya Lebar Road for an hour from 3.13pm in case there are flash floods.
In another post, PUB added that heavy rain is expected over southern, eastern and central areas of Singapore from 3.30pm to 4.15pm.
The Meteorological Service Singapore on Oct 31 said thundery showers are expected over parts of Singapore on a number of afternoons in the first fortnight of November.
The showers can extend into the evening on a few days. Sumatra squalls may also bring widespread thundery showers and gusty winds on one or two mornings.
The total rainfall for the first fortnight of November is forecast to be below average over most parts of the island.
