American pop star Katy Perry is currently in China for her ongoing Lifetimes Tour, which began in April. After performing two shows in Hangzhou starting November 21, she travelled to Shanghai for three more concerts from November 24 to 26.

In between her shows, the 41-year-old singer decided to enjoy some shopping time. In a clip that was shared on X (formerly Twitter), Katy was seen stepping out of a store surrounded by heavy security.

Carrying a large red shopping bag, she walked out with a bright smile as a bunch of excited fans rushed to see her, trying to record her on their phones and take pictures with her.

Katy Perry Nearly Lost Her Balance On Steps

Katy looked stylish in a turtle-neck pullover, a matching mini skirt, black sheer tights, and grey shoes. As she walked down the steps, she briefly lost her balance and appeared to stumble, which prompted her fans to run towards her out of concern. However, she managed to balance herself, and her security staff made sure no one got close to her.

Following this small mishap, the crowd continued to follow her, fans loudly cheering, “Katy, Katy,” as they tried to keep up. The moment captured the singer’s massive global fan base. Many also highlighted Katy’s popularity in China.

Katy Perry Offered Prayers At A Chinese Temple

Before her shopping spree, Katy made a stop at a temple in China to seek blessings. A video of the American pop icon offering prayers at the Lingyin Temple surfaced on social media. In it, the Harleys in Hawaii singer was seen donning a denim-on-denim look, featuring blue jeans and a matching jacket. She completed the look with a blue checkered scarf and white sneakers.

Katy was spotted among hundreds of worshippers, holding a bunch of incense sticks as she sought blessings. She was also spotted interacting with fans and posing for cameras during her visit to the holy temple.

What’s Next For Katy Perry?

The singer is currently on her fifth concert tour in support of her seventh studio album, 143. The tour kicked off earlier this year in Mexico City. Following her shows in China, she will head to Japan and then conclude her tour in Abu Dhabi on December 7.
