Waah Indigo waah: Elvish Yadav slams airlines amid massive nationwide delays

Elvish Yadav has joined the chorus of frustrated passengers as IndiGo cancelled nearly 200 flights nationwide, throwing airports into chaos and leaving travellers stranded. The YouTuber-actor shared a photo of a packed terminal, crowded with people waiting for hours, as he called out the airline with a sharp one-liner.

Alongside the photo, Yadav wrote, “Waah IndiGo Waah (sic).” IndiGo is currently grappling with major operational disruptions that have triggered mass cancellations and extensive delays across the country.

Social media has been flooded with complaints from passengers stuck at airports, while the airline continues to battle escalating staffing and scheduling issues.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has now summoned IndiGo officials for a meeting at 2 pm, seeking answers amid the ongoing turbulence. The aviation watchdog is already investigating the operational issues plaguing the country’s largest airline.

The impact has been felt across major hubs. On Thursday morning alone, 33 flights were cancelled at Delhi airport. Bengaluru reported 73 cancellations, Hyderabad 68, Ahmedabad five and Kolkata four.

Kolkata also saw 24 IndiGo flights delayed – 10 arrivals and 14 departures – including two international routes to Singapore and Siem Reap, Cambodia.

A day earlier, the airline cancelled more than 100 flights and delayed many others across Delhi (38), Bengaluru (42), Mumbai (33) and Hyderabad (19), as it continued to battle chronic understaffing and operational pressure.
