China Ramps Up Military Training Amidst US-Taiwan Arms Deal Tensions

The Chinese military is set to enhance its training programs, taking decisive steps to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to a recent announcement from China’s defense ministry. This move comes in light of the proposed $11.1 billion U.S. arms sale package to Taiwan.

In a firm response to the deal, the ministry has called on the United States to immediately halt its arms sales to Taiwan. It stressed the importance of adhering to promises not to back ‘Taiwan independence’ initiatives, as outlined in a statement released on its official Chinese social media platform.

The statement criticized Taiwan separatist forces, accusing them of using public funds to benefit American arms dealers, highlighting the ongoing geopolitical tensions between the involved parties.
