Jimmy Regino of April Boys dies

MANILA, Philippines — Jimmy Regino of the April Boys has died, his brother and band mate Vingo announced on Facebook on Saturday.

“To all the fans of the April Boys, I would like to inform you that my brother Jimmy has passed away. We will not be hearing his voice anymore,” he said in Filipino.

Older brother and popular musician April Boy Regino died in 2020.

Vingo and Jimmy were part of the group “April Boys,” named after their late older brother, April Boy, who pursued a solo career.

They were known for their songs “Sana’y Laging Makapiling,” “Maniwala Ka Sana,” “Dugong Pilipino,” among others.

The cause of Jimmy’s death was not revealed.
