‘Toxic’ teaser X review: Yash as Raya excites fans as ‘KGF’ star’s comeback movie to clash with Dhurandhar 2; ‘daddy’s home’ trends online

‘KGF star’ Yash on his 40th birthday teased his fans to the much-awaited teaser of his star-studded film ‘Toxic: A fairytale for grown-ups’. The makers of ‘Toxic’ dropped a special teaser called ‘Toxic: Introducing Raya’ which has sent the social media into a tizzy. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the teaser introduces us to Raya a character who feels worlds apart from Rocky Bhai but carries that same undeniable, magnetic swag that fans have missed. Toxic film stars Yash along with Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Nayanthara. ‘Toxic’ is set to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.

Toxic is set against the gritty, neo-noir backdrop of what appears to be 1990s Goa, the visuals appear dark, stylish, and unapologetically violent, according to Times Now. Yash, as Raya, then enters through a haze of fog while smoking a cigarette. A shirtless, tattooed Yash slips into an oversized black coat and announces, “Daddy’s home.”

Fans react to Toxic teaser

As soon as the teaser dropped, social media was filled with reactions. One fan wrote, “Vote For Toxic – All Records R.I.P .” “Absolute domination! Yash in TOXIC isn’t just a teaser moment — it’s a power statement. From screen presence to BGM, he doesn’t arrive… he takes over,” another user wrote.

Another commented, “Daddy’s Home.” One user said, “Ra-Radika Ya -Yash = RAYA .” Another reaction read, “”THE WORLD IS MY TERRITORY” bro took this dialogue seriously .” One fan posted, “Bro Comeback After Years…” Another wrote, “Yash entry First time ever in indian Movies.”

A day before the teaser release, on Wednesday, January 7, Yash shared a message for his fans on Instagram Stories. He spoke about how long it has been since he met them. He said he knows fans have been waiting to see him in person for years and added that he feels the same way.
