Notably, the Jamaat’s election manifesto marks a departure from its earlier rhetoric. It calls for “peaceful and cooperative relations” with neighbouring countries, including India, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Thailand, based on “mutual respect and fairness”.
