Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury confirmed on social media Thursday that his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov will take place on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It will mark his first bout since back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, including a second points loss in December 2024 that derailed his bid to reclaim three of the four major heavyweight titles.

Fury announced his retirement the following month. Few believed it would stick.

Nearly a year later, the “Gypsy King” is lacing up again.

“2026 is the year. Return of the Mac,” the 37-year-old posted earlier in January, brushing aside talk of a quiet life away from the ring.

Promoter Frank Warren insists this isn’t a half-hearted return.

“He’s really got the bit between his teeth, he’s training hard in Thailand, he’s got himself in good shape,” Warren told Sky Sports. “He looks after himself and he is in shape. He’ll be in fight mode ready to go and he’s out to prove a point.”

That point? Fury clearly believes there’s unfinished business in the heavyweight division.

Whether this comeback sparks another title charge or simply sets up one last blockbuster payday remains to be seen.

But, April 11 will tell us how much he’s got left, and how serious this “Return of the Mac” really is.
