Actor Madhavan shares important travel update for passengers stranded in UAE, praises the country’s response

Actor R. Madhavan has stepped in with a reassuring update at a time when travel disruptions in the UAE region have left many anxious. While fans were recently concerned about his own safety, the Dhurandhan star shifted the focus to an important development in the UAE that could bring relief to stranded passengers. By amplifying an announcement on social media, Madhavan highlighted a move that is being widely praised for putting travellers first during ongoing flight chaos.

The actor reshared a post stating that the UAE has ordered hotels to extend stays free of charge for guests affected by flight disruptions. The update comes after the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism issued a circular on February 28 directing hotel general managers to provide complimentary stay extensions to those unable to depart due to circumstances beyond their control.

Under the directive, hotels have been instructed to bill all additional room costs directly to the department, ensuring that stranded travellers do not face any extra financial burden. The measure has been described as a strong, people-focused response to the regional travel uncertainty.

Madhavan’s post arrives shortly after speculation about his own whereabouts sparked concern among fans. The actor, who owns a home in Dubai, had left many worried amid the situation. However, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, he clarified that he is currently in the United States with his family and is safe. He also expressed gratitude for the concern shown by well-wishers and indicated that they plan to remain there until conditions stabilise.

Meanwhile, superstar Ajith Kumar‘s fans too had been worried about his well-being since the actor had been spending a lot of time in Dubai because of his motorsport commitments. His manager, Suresh Chandraa, told Zoom that Ajith had to return from the airport and is currently safe in Dubai. In a separate statement to News18, Suresh Chandraa again confirmed that Ajith was safe and asked fans not to panic.
Meanwhile, Sonal Chauhan, the actress from Jannat, got stuck in Dubai after several flight cancellations. She reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media for help. At the same time, Indian badminton star PV Sindhu and members of the Indian basketball team in Doha faced travel delays due to operational disruptions.
