Actor-producer Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming production, Ek Din featuring actors Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan. In a video shared on social media, Aamir recalled an incident that changed his life. He drew parallels to theme of Ek Din which is about one day transforming the course of an entire life.

Aamir Khan Productions shared the video on their Instagram handle and wrote, “Sometimes, all it takes is one day to change your whole life Tell us about your Ek Din using #EkDin And stand a chance to meet the star cast Watch #EkDin only in theatres on 1st May 2026 (sic).”

In the clip, Aamir narrated a pivotal moment from his early career, losing out on a play that he had been deeply invested in. What initially felt like a setback turned out to be a turning point, as that very day eventually led him to his first big break. Reflecting on the experience, he emphasised how life’s unexpected detours often carry hidden opportunities, reinforcing the belief that a single day can redefine one’s journey.

In Ek Din, Junaid plays an introverted lover who admires his colleague, played by Sai Pallavi’s character from a distance but can’t quite find the words to tell her. Their quiet office dynamic takes a dramatic turn during a trip to Japan, where an accident leaves Sai’s character with Transient Global Amnesia (TGA).

In a poignant twist, the only person she remembers is Junaid’s protagonist, who stepped in to save her life. This unexpected shift completely rewrites their relationship, forcing a new kind of intimacy between them.

Aamir Khan has reunited with Mansoor Khan for Ek Din. The duo, has earlier collaborated on classics such as Akele Hum Akele Tum and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, hasn’t worked together in years. With this new film, they return to the romantic genre once again.

The romantic drama is directed by Sunil Pandey and is co-produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit.

Ek Din is set for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
