ChatGPT Images 2.0 trends in India: Anime selfies, AI avatars and cinematic edits
People are using the tool to transform themselves into manga characters, create editorial-style fashion shoots, generate “Mini Me” animated avatars, and fix badly lit photos with a single prompt. In many cases, the AI-generated images are ending up as profile pictures, Instagram Stories, WhatsApp stickers, and even dating app photos.
Among the biggest trends is the “Cinematic Portrait Collage” — warm-toned layered edits featuring Indian outfits, flowers, jewellery, and golden-hour lighting that resemble luxury fashion campaigns. Then there’s “Mini Me World”, where users create tiny 3D versions of themselves interacting with everyday objects in their rooms, kitchens, or work desks. The trend has exploded across short-video platforms because of how personalised and playful the outputs look.

The popularity of these prompts also highlights how AI image generation in India is evolving into a creator-culture phenomenon rather than just a productivity tool.
A big reason behind the trend is how accessible the new model feels. ChatGPT Images 2.0 can understand detailed instructions, multilingual prompts, and even generate realistic text inside images — making it easier for first-time users to create social-media-ready visuals without editing skills.
