MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila Pride and Pride PH have announced large-scale Pride marches and festivals scheduled for June 27 in Manila and Quezon City.
Metro Manila Pride said its main march and festival, “Bukas, Atin. Atin ang Kasaysayan. Atin ang Bukas,” will be held at Remedios Circle in Malate, Manila, beginning 10 a.m. with free admission.
In a statement posted on social media, organizers said the gathering reflects a renewed sense of collective ownership over LGBTQ+ history and future.
“Two years of gathering strength. Finally, we are together again, to claim the future,” the group said as translated to English, adding that the event marks a shift “from seeking acceptance to demanding ownership” of community narratives.
The annual march at Remedios Circle in Malate is expected to draw participants from across Metro Manila for a day of programming centered on visibility, advocacy and community expression.
Meanwhile, Pride PH confirmed that its “LoveL4ban” Pride march and festival will also take place on June 27 at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City.
Now on its fourth year, the Quezon City event in University of the Philippines Diliman will feature performances and appearances from a lineup of online personalities, artists and advocates.
Organizers said this year’s celebration aims to bring together stories of love, activism and identity through a full-day program open to the public.
“Carry our stories, love for freedom, and relentless advocacy for equality,” Pride PH said in a post announcing the event.
Among those slated to appear are Kaladkaren, Sassa Gurl, Esnyr, AC Soriano, Yani Hatesu, Inah Evans, Pipay, Sophie Prime, Gaia Polyhymnia, Sky Quizon, Migs Almendras, Kyo Quijano, Lui Pacheco and others, with additional performers yet to be announced.
Both events come amid continued Pride Month celebrations across Metro Manila, with organizers emphasizing community solidarity, inclusion and the ongoing push for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility in the Philippines.
