Raipur: The official Twitter handle of Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey was temporarily hacked by unidentified hackers on Thursday. It was restored within hours.
There were 17 tweets posted from Governor’s handle on cryptocurrency tagging @Elon Musk, which were deleted after restoration of the handle.
The public relations officer of Governor House said that the Twitter handle was only temporarily hacked and restored in a few hours.
“The unidentified hackers hacked Governor Anusuiya Uikey’s Twitter handle @GovernorCG that is handled by the Governor’s secretariat. There were several tweets posted on the handle on cryptocurrency,” the officer said.
The password was immediately changed and other details related to account were also edited following which, the handle was restored.
The officer said that a complaint was lodged at cyber cell unit against unidentified persons.
